The tea ceremony is one of the rituals of making tea that calms the mind and entertain a guest. It is a traditional Japanese culture where you don't only drink tea, but also feel the beauty like the spirit of hospitality and wabi-sabi. In addition, it is also a culture in which number of arts such as etiquette to entertain guests, tea room arrangements, tea utensils, Japanese sweets etc. are fused. As the ancestor of the  Senke tea ceremony and the great master of Wabi-cha, Sen no Rikyu (1522-1591) was born in a Sakai merchant house and spent most of his life in Sakai, a wide range of tea ceremony cultures have been inherited in Sakai.
